Continuous online data protection

How often do hard drives fail? According to a study done by Carnegie Mellon University, a lot more frequently than the manufacturers claim. The study determined that the failure rate for most drivers was between 2% and 4%, and as high as 13% in some scenarios. Since hard drives are mechanical devices spitting on the very high speed, sooner or later they will all eventually crash. It is only a matter of when. When it happens, the degree of problems, sweat and tears you will experience is directly related to how prepared you were for it to begin with.
