Kirkland Wrecker service removed my car from the scene of an accident without my consent and refused to release it to me until i paid their towing, storage and “administrative” fees. This company engages in predatory business practices, property theft and ransom. The cost to tow my wrecked car, and store it over a weekend, (without ever telling they had it) cost $650 and then $40 a day after that. At no point did i agree for them to take it, did they make me aware of their costs or make an effort to contact me. Stay as far away as possible from this company. If you are in an accident, and have the presence of mind to do so (I didn’t) make them leave and request another company.

Kirkland has a contract with Helena, AL police, which evidently allows them to legally charge ABSURD prices ($365.00) for towing within a 5 mile radius. Then they command $40.00 per day to secure your towed vehicle, on their graveled lot. I know from personal experience, sadly. Those factors alone warrant on 3 stars, in my opinion...but when I factor in the customer service skills, which they seriously lack, I feel very generous towards Kirkland by giving them 2 stars.

Very nice staff. Professional and knowledgeable. Made the best out of a bad situation when my kid was in an accident. I wouldn't want their job. Nonetheless, I asked questions about my car while it was in their possession so that I could get parts and get it out. They were so helpful.

I was leaving my neighborhood this morning and was cussed out by the driver of the wrecker bc he thought I was taking a picture of a wrecked vehicle. Regardless of what I was doing, talking to people like that is absolutely unacceptable. Please don’t let this company be the one responsible for picking up a loved one in your family.
