We did not have a pleasant experience. We used them to pack up, store, and deliver our household goods. Showed up late, took a lot of personal calls, and breaks. Was nice but seemed unhappy and complained about furniture being too heavy. Did not provide enough movers for day of delivering. Damaged porch steps during pack out, broke china hutch glass, and lost box of hardware for sleigh bed. Double-check your price estimates for errors, too. Would not recommend. After reading some of these other reviews, owner seems to have a defensive attitude, e.g., "It seemed that The Other Moving Company provided you with a good moving experience based on conversations with your move coordinator. The issue is not with our company but the claims department". If customer satisfaction is your number one priority, why would the experience be "good" and not "great" or "exceptional". And why doubt what the customer is telling you. We didn't hire the claims department, we hired you...it's on your company to make the claim process seamless (percentage of claims filed probably looks great because customers give up) or better yet, problem solve the root cause and take responsibility for that. Go with the "other" moving company, instead, you will be glad you did.

The pre-move survey was easily accomplished over a video chat. On moving day the team arrived early and worked quickly and efficiently. They were courteous and respectful of my family and property. At the new location, they efficiently unloaded and positioned furniture, finishing up earlier than anticipated. On top of it all, the entire move came in under budget. Highly recommended.

UPDATE 7/21/22: The owner's response to my review is untruthful. At no time did I state that we were completely satisfied with the repairs made. Nor did I state that there was an electrical problem with the refrigerator. I specifically stated that the repairman stated that there was a problem with the compressor. The compressor contains oil that is affected if a refrigerator is not kept upright. This two year old refrigerator worked perfectly before the moves, had no dents or other damage, and was damaged during the moves by The Other Moving Company. There is no question about that. When you mess up, you fix the problem, not alter the truth. This company's actions cost us a lot of money. I strongly recommend that you not use their services. This company was used by my daughter for a move from her home to a storage facility in July 2021 and from the storage facility to her newly constructed home in November 2021. During one of the moves her Whirlpool 28 cubic foot refrigerator purchased in 2019 was damaged. When it was moved into her home in November 2021, it would not get cold. A repair person was paid $150 to evaluate the refrigerator. He expressed the opinion that the compressor may have been damaged in the move and that movers have to exercise care when moving a refrigerator because the oil in the compressor may be affected if the refrigerator is not kept upright. Once the compressor is damaged, the refrigerator will not work. Other items were also damaged in the move. The moving company repaired some of the items, but did nothing about the refrigerator. The damage claim was filed in November 2021, was acknowledged by the company on 12/2/21, but was not resolved until 7/19/22 with a denial. The moving company falsely based its denial on an electrical problem with the refrigerator. However, the refrigerator worked perfectly before the move and had no damage. After the move, it had visible dents on the top and front as if it had been dropped or something very heavy had been placed on top of it. One of the 11/21 movers stated that items had been placed on top of the refrigerator in the storage unit. The owner initially stated in a text in 2021 that the refrigerator was over 5 years old and, when given evidence that it was only 2 years old, still did not accept responsibility for the damage to the refrigerator. The irony of the situation is my daughter did not buy the full value insurance policy, so she would only have been entitled to .60 times the weight of the $1434 refrigerator, a few hundred dollars maximum. This company's claims representative did nothing on the claim from 12/2/21 until today and then untruthfully stated that the claim was denied 6 months ago and then stated it was an electrical issue. Do not use this company for your move.

This was absolutely the best moving experience I've ever had. When they tell you they want to make your move as stress free as possible they stick to that word. I can only say positive things about every step of their process: Survey, Pack Out, Pick Up, Delivery. They kept in constant contact which put my mind at ease. I would definitely recommend The Other Moving Company to anyone looking for a stress free professional move.

This was the second time I used The Other Moving Company. They were fantastic. They took care with my furniture and boxes. They were extremely professional and friendly. I am impressed with how quickly and easy my move went. Definitely recommend this company. They are the best.

The movers ride the clock and do more talking than packing. One guy took 20 minutes to wrap one item. We was quoted 1,100 and ended up paying 1,637 because it took them 10 hours to move us 15 minutes away. To cut the cost we took apart both beds, dresser and vanity ourselves. We thought that would help move things quicker but it did not. We literally only had two bedroom sets and a living room set, the rest was boxes. Why did that take 10 hours? We had 3 men who does this everyday and they took the same amount of time it took my family to do it on our own. On top of that one of my dressers have a hole in it and the wall has two big gashes in them. On a positive note the movers were nice and the owner came to my home to fix the issues I had.

I have worked with Brian on several commercial and residential moves. He goes above and beyond, is professional, courteous and always gets the job done. I highly recommend this company for your moving and storage needs.

The movers were nice, professional, and very careful with the furniture, both loading and unloading. They were also very careful with their truck, staying on the driveway and not going on the grass. This is the second time I have used The Other Moving Company, and once again I was not disappointed! I highly recommend them!!

We’ve moved several times and this company is by far the best one. The owner is very personable, interested in helping and makes sure the service offered will match the customer’s needs. From the prompt arrival of the moving crew to their work ethics they certainly demonstrated respect and pride on their work. I strongly recommend this company.
