Colton Motel

Great location...poor service and quality. This place is in a great location, right in the heart of downtown but that's about the only positive to the motel. There was definitely mold in one if our rooms and the smell was very off-putting. Our room, which was significantly in need of a deep cleaning and upgrade, had a very old tube television, which doesn't hold much value to my review as we really only use a room to sleep but I think it's worth noting as others may be disappointed. There was a working fridge in the room which was useless but no coffee maker, microwave or hair dryer available. The office did offer complimentary coffee but I don't believe it was refreshed or cleaned very often, so wouldn't recommend. The attendant was friendly but was definitely more interested in talking to their coworkers, playing with their phones or really anything else than to get up or come to the desk. There is a pool available and free off street parking. If you need a safe place to sleep for the night on a budget, this place will suffice. Just lower your expectations and hope for a clean room! We had rooms 17 and 18.

This motel is in a great location. Walking distance to many businesses and attractions. Rooms are a bit dated, but clean. Appears that there have been some updates in bathrooms and with carpeting. There were small gaps around the door to our room, so small insects could get in (we were not bothered by any)..some weather stipping would probably help with this.

Didn’t even stay. There were bed bugs. The walls and doors were damaged. Super disgusting. Don’t stay here. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

On our wat to NYC from south tx and we landed here for the night the Location was awesome motel was actually pretty good a lil outdated but for the price you can't complain the couple running the place we're really cool I can say motel was way better then others we stayed in that cost 150$ plus so all in all we had a great experience here and will definitely be back in a week for some sightseeing

Excellent location for the price, no fighting for a parking spot, rooms are nice sized and clean... staff is nice and helpful.. only reason didn't give 5 stars, is no body towels..

Inexpensive and friendly staff it's not a fancy motel but its really nice in the middle of everything so everything is with in walking distance enjoyed my stay both times

I’ve been coming down to Gettysburg for pretty much all of my human life. I’ve stayed in a fair amount of hotels in the area and that includes this one. This was by far and away the worst experience I’ve ever had at a motel. It was so bad I decided to spend the night in my car instead of the room. First off- the mold and mildew smell that permeated through the entire room absolutely destroyed me. I don’t have asthma but if I did- I probably would have needed an ambulance. For a solid 2 1/2 hours the only thing I did was cough. I couldn’t breathe one bit. I had to get out and I did roughly at 2 am. I went for a walk and just like magic the coughing went away. The second I went back this morning to get my stuff I started gagging again. To put it accurately again- I chose sleeping in the car in the freezing cold to staying in that hotel room. Absolutely terrible experience. My lungs do not thank you for the awful room

We stayed in room #11 at the Colton Motel and it only had a only a mini fridge no microwave . The Colton Motel and the Budget Three Crowns are owned by the same person and the Budget Three Crowns Motel also had numerous issues and I wouldn't recommend either motels to anyone. The motel not only charged us $277.50 per week for a room the two weeks we stayed there when we were homeless and awaiting an opening in an apartment but the motel also charged us another $277.50 for a security deposit on the room and during the two weeks stay my wife contracted the Rhino Virus and a Staph Infection (MRSA) and had to be hospitalized for Intravenous antibiotics for both. We disputed the security deposit especially because of my wife's infections contracted at the motel with our banking institution PNC Bank who decided in favor of the Colton Motel over their banking customer of six years. I would never stay here again and I'll be closing our account with PNC Bank and only do business with a local community banking institution.

Room was dirty when we checked musty smell. Dead stinkbugs all over. Live ones as well. Used wash cloth still hanging on the shower curtain. No clean towels, only one handtowel. Bed sheets had stains on them, as well as the pillows. Never stay at this hotel again.

Thank you Colton Motel!!! We will be staying with you again!! We loved our stay here, great staff and great location in town! We felt like we were staying at a friends guest house rather than a motel! Such a warm home feel to this place!
