One of the cleanest restrooms of a rest stop I have ever gone to. The water smelled quite weird, hence the 'Do Not Drink Water' sign. Overall fine.

Nice weight station can’t drink the water though it’s all over the place posted DO NOT DRINK WATER. I mean I wouldn’t drink it regardless but they do have vending machines one of the vending machines is done. The one that does hot drinks (coffee)

This rest stop was very convenient on our way to Maryland. There was enough parking, and the restrooms were clean. There were also some brochures available for places of interest in the area. We were glad that we didn't have to get off the highway to find a restroom on our trip.

Sign out front lists all the things which the Commonwealth prohibits you from doing rather than a list of all the things which you may do at this rest stop. Besides that, most of the vending machines were in working order. The landscaping and masonry were very nice. The bathrooms were clean. There are picnic tables outside for anyone who in December wants to die from pneumonia.

Stopped to use the bathroom and the ladies room was closed. I asked security that was sitting at a desk inside a room where the door was open if there was another restroom and instead of just saying yes, he had a nasty attitude and he snapped my head off saying “well what does that sign say out there”, “why don’t you look” and I apologized for not seeing it and said wont ever ask again.

Nuangola Rest Area - Interstate 81 Southbound
This is a very well maintained rest area located Southbound on interstate 81 between Nuangola and Springtown. The bathrooms are decently maintained as well as there is staff there throughout the day to answer any questions.

Like most exits from I 81 in Pennsylvania, the off-ramp to this rest stop is very short, so be ready to brake hard and maneuver. The large vehicle parking has ample room, and there is a spot to walk your dogs. Washrooms are clean and vending machines offer limited beverage and snack options. Small vehicle parking has lots of room. Grounds are well maintained. The on-ramp returning to the interstate is also very short so if traffic southbound is heavy, merging requires you to accelerate quickly and hope the other motorists are courteous.
