Dishonest, untrustworthy, incompetent and unreliable. Hired Hickey to install a PianoDisc player system on our Yamaha baby grand. He represented he had installed these systems for more than twenty years and he could convert our piano in a 3-4 weeks. He picked our piano up in Oct16 and after two months returned the piano to our home - but the system did not work. Hickey was unable to link the player system with the internet. The iQ HD PianoDisc system we purchased uses the internet to purchase and access the library of PianoDisc music. For the next month Hickey promised to return and properly fix the system. He would tell us he would come the next day, in two days, the next week, etc. However he always had a new excuse and did not show. Finally in Jan17 he returned - however instead of fixing the problem, Hickey installed "band aid" hardware that allowed the player system to technically operate, but the system did not communicate with the internet and was not the system we paid $7,000 for. He promised dozens of times to come back and properly install the system we purchased. Every time he was supposed to show up, he came up with an excuse to not show up (car broke down, he was sick, wife sick, etc.) After another three months of broken promises and never ending excuses, we hired an attorney to initiate legal action against Hickey. In an effort to avoid a lawsuit, Hickey again promised to call us and properly fix the system. Unbelievably, he again promised to follow-up and again never called, never showed up, never made an attempt to resolve the problem. Hickey took our money and instead of delivering what we paid for, or trying to make the situation right, he engaged in a practice of lies and deception. Hickey is much worse than a terrible technician and businessman. Hickey is intentionally dishonest.
