Dell was an excellent tour guide. We had the whole van to ourselves! Since it was just our small group of 4, Dell asked if we wanted to start the tour from the opposite direction. Usually, from past tours we've been on the tour begins first going through Hana then the backside of Maui. This was a nice change. We even saw a whale really close to the shore! It was an amazing experience sharing with family members on their first tour of Hana and first trip to Maui. Dell shared a list of where the locals dine and the best places to get poke and sushi. We highly recommend Aloha Sunshine Tours. Dell was wonderful.

From booking to end this tour was seemless. Best tour guide ever = Jeffrey. Made the tour fun & listened to what we wanted to do. Gave us time at each place & shared his own experiences & knowledge. Highly recommend this tour company. Luna (the dog) made it extra fun. Hawaiian airline flight was delayed but that didn’t affect our day too much. Thankyou again!!

If you enjoy waiting in line and figuring things out for yourself, then this Pear Harbor tour is for you! We booked this tour at almost $200 per person because we (poorly) thought that, at that price, it would be a guided tour that shows you all of Pearl Harbor. Basically what we paid for were entrance fees and very expensive round trip transportation. Our guide was nice and gave us some good history of Oahu on the drive, but then he walked us to the gate and told us tour guides aren’t allowed in the park. I’m not sure if I completely believe that since I saw 2 groups with tour guides in the museums. On top of that, we spent our first 2 hours of the day in the standby line for the USS Arizona memorial because our tour didn’t have any reservations. Basically, we watched the reservation line show up and empty every half hour while we wasted the morning. For the price this tour costs, you would think you would have a smooth day without having to wait unnecessarily. Do yourself a favor and visit on your own and book a reservation on line either the day before or 8 weeks in advance for only a $1 reservation fee. A “Passport to Pearl Harbor” (which is what we were handed before our tour guide left) costs only $90 and can be bought online. Take an Uber or taxi instead. I will admit, I am more upset because I had originally started to go this route, but my husband wanted a GUIDED tour because he wanted to see Pearl Harbor so bad. The company has buried in their fine print that there is a chance you will be in the standby line, and that there are absolutely no refunds possible. I feel like I’ve been scammed.

Shannon was an amazing tour guide for our full day trip! It was fabulous seeing so many different parts of O’ahu. Definitely worth it!

We took the Hawaii Volcanoes Tour from Oahu. We had a great experience. We were picked up at the designated location by our tour guide, Mel, and he provided an exceptional experience. He drove the bus and made sure that we knew exactly what to expect at each stop. He included information and history related to each location, and was professional and engaging throughout the entire day. The tour was designed to make multiple stops throughout the day and was paced perfectly.

Took a tour today with this company. Everything went perfect. Well narrated by a nice guy named Kelly (he had a Hawaiian name but I can t recall it sorry). He was very professional and knew his history...he said he was a story teller not a historian but I’d say he was a bit of both! I think Aloha sunshine tours should be proud to have such a great person working for them. He remembered all of his passengers and had a great sense of humour. Charlie the tour guide was amazing.. he was very funny and very informative. He made sure we were able to visit all the main attractions. A very safe driver too. We are glad we took the tour vs driving ourselves. Thank you Charlie.

Had a great tour from Mel of the volcanoes park on the big island. Mel was informative and friendly, mixing facts with stories to make an entertaining trip. I wish we could have gotten a heads up on some of the name placards on the banyan trees so we could have grabbed some pictures (it went a bit fast through that). Tour groups are also difficult when there is a subset of folks that don't respect the groups timing. This lead to a bit of time pressure at the end of the trip.

We booked ourselves into the 1-day volcano tour on Hawaii island and enjoyed every minute of it. Our guide, Mel, ensured we left the tour with a greater appreciation and understanding of the cultural and volcanic history of the island through stories and anecdotes. His knowledge of the island allowed him to pace the tour well, allowing us time to explore the different stops and avoid the crowds. We definitely recommend this tour to visitors to the island (and ask for Mel)

We booked the circle island tour and it was just the 2 of us on the bus which was great it was like our own private tour. Our tour guide Dennis was friendly and flexible. He had a lot of knowledge of the island and we enjoyed learning about it. Great way to see all the island but not much time to do activities on the stops. Recommend the tour for tourists interested in seeing the island. We enjoyed Dole plantation and japanese temple.
