BOLD MOVING AND STORAGE LLC

They are not professional at all We moved in with them at the end of July. They arrived very late and then spent time on their phone or playing with our TVs. They finished the move in a hurry at half past midnight without protecting anything and throwing everything in the truck. They put our belongings in storage and while we had agreed on a date, delivered it 20 days later. And surprise: a lot of broken (see pictures) and lost objects (3 boxes and two pieces of bathroom furniture plus a step ladder) This company is a nightmare To be avoided

Just before covid I had to put all my belongings in a storage unit. When I finally found a place to move to Miami I was ready to take all my belongings, photo equipment, art and all my furniture. It was a lot I didn't want to do myself so I hired Bold Moving Company to do it for me. They were time in the storage unit. Loaded the truck like a master and I realized how much stuff I have to put in my new place which is 7 times smaller than my previous place. They arrive at the new location and unload the truck and carefully place everything in the new location. We were all amazed at the size of the new place and all the things I had. They sorted my things with patience and care. I was so impressed nothing was broken. My artwork was intact! Nothing was missing. They were very respectful and on time. Will definitely hire this company again and again

I can’t tell you enough to choose another company. I wanted to like Bold so much and I am so beyond disappointed. I wish I had read more reviews and not the ones they specifically send. So much damage. The movers that packed me, what a joke. $1500 extra for a full pack and they barely packed me. So much damage. 4 guys - 2 of them worked (slow but worked), 1 was upstairs hiding just watching football for two hours, and the other one was on FaceTime in the truck for an hour and then disappeared for another hour and a half “to his office seat” aka the toilet. They also damaged the floors in the house I was moving out of. Then coordinating the delivery was frustrating. Then 7 guys delivered my furniture and it was 5pm before they arrived, they didn’t take the time to place things nicely or put anything together right so have had to go back and redo everything. Plus they took left over hardware rather than leave it and notify me they were unable to properly assemble the furniture. I promise there are better companies out there. I’ve moved several times in the last 5 years (in the same state, this was my first out of state move in the last 5 years) and never experienced any movers as bad as this. Edit to response from company: The mover on the truck was literally on FaceTime (we all saw it and heard it) - there were no boxes being moved because two guys were inside still packing (one in kitchen and once in office) the fourth guy was upstairs watching football. I heard all of their conversations. I left at one point to even go get one of the guys some stuff from the store and didn't mind doing that at all. Yes, one day of delivery but what was frustrating is all the calls in between to confirm the date (which kept moving - thankful it was earlier rather than later) and the fact that at one point someone told me they didn't know where my stuff was because it wasn't updated by operations. I have notified you all about making a claim and have filled out the claim form. I never said my price went up - I just said the add on for a "full" pack was not worth it. The delivery driver also tried to charge me an additional $75 for stairs which was already included. The way in which you address customer issues is poor. THANK YOU!

Highest recommendation. Bold Moving and Storage handled my move with the greatest professionalism. Michael was in regular contact during the entirety of planning the move; his estimate and final pricing were the best of any I received from all the vendors I reached out to. Ace, Dion, and Brandon, my moving team, were friendly, reassuring, and among the hardest working individuals I've ever met. They treated my belongings with care and respect, both at loading and unloading, and they treated me like a friend. If I ever have to move again, Bold will be the company I call.

If you decide to go with Bold Moving and Storage, do not use their "Professional Pack" service or find supplemental insurance for your stuff because the chances of finding broken stuff is very high. This is my wife and I's first time finding and hiring a moving company and in my naivete I didn't know all my options when it came to insuring our stuff for our move. Apparently the industry standard is $0.60 per pound per article and was not quoted for any other options. After our move this now seems like a scam to be careless and move as quickly as possible. The employees were nice enough and I didn't watch as they packed our stuff which in hindsight I probably should have supervised some now. To start, at pickup a mirror was broken and furniture was slid across a hardwood floor causing $300 worth of damage. The employee who broke the mirror was kind enough to pay for the mirror up front. Our problems really began at drop off. As things were coming in we had an antique wooden chair that was broken in multiple places, all of our dining room chairs had the legs bent like they had something very heavy stacked on top of it, an ottoman that was water damaged, and we were lucky if we found a box that did not have something damaged in it. Pictures were just tossed into boxes unwrapped and unprotected. A lot of broken glass and even a hanger through a picture. My sound system was thrown in a box still wired together. Somehow it was thought a good place for multiple lampshades was at the bottom of a box with marble cheeseboards on top of them. A dresser that has made it's way all over the country since the 1990s has finally found some damage after getting gouges all down the side that will need to be professionally restored. When I called to ask about starting the claim process I asked how they could charge what they did for the "Professional Pack Service" and the response I received was "Well it got packed, regardless of whether or not mistakes were made while doing so". So overall, they caused an estimated $2000-3000 of damages and the claims process is laborious and confusing. Then, because of their $0.60 per pound per article policy their offer to resolve the claim was $76. So bending the legs on $800 worth of chairs is worth about $40. Avoid this company.

I recommend them with SEVERAL caveats here: We used BOLD for a cross country move. Communication was scattered but overall, they honored their word and came when they said they would. They did a full pack and move for us and the guys who packed and moved us were easy to be around and were seemingly well organized. Overall, no issues on the front end. They arrived at our new home when they said they would and worked hard the entire time. The issues came when we were charged about $4k OVER what we were quoted...despite having almost the exact estimated weight per our head mover the day of our move in. When asked for an explanation, it was obscure and no legit answer was given. We felt like we had no option but to pay in full or the guys would not have unloaded our stuff from the trucks. More issues came up when a dresser was broken + things were missing. One of the owners, Bill, was quick to address the broken dresser and gave us a credit that was about 25% the value of the dresser which was satisfactory since we know he didn’t even have to do that. As for the missing items, it kept being insisted that things just DON’T get lost with moves. Well, we have entire large Tupperware boxes that we KNOW we do not have and a tv wall mount that’s missing. Very frustrating as one of the boxes is ALL my fall decorations I’ve accumulated over the last 15 years...some of which are family heirlooms. Overall, no items they packed were broken in transit other than the dresser that was clearly broken bc they neglected to remove 2 of the legs so they simply ripped everything apart (very frustrating) and the actual movers worked very hard and were easy to be around. Not sure there will ever be an answer for the absurd thousands of dollars over that we were charged and as I find more and more things that are missing, it’s beyond upsetting. So would I recommend? Maybe but I would say you’d have to be persistent about ensuring honesty and ensuring you don’t get blamed for their issues.... *edited to add: we are now being told that our weigh in was in fact 3k lbs over their estimated weight for us so the extra charge was correct. we definitely were not told this the day of our move-in. I don’t think they’d lie about it. Waiting for documentation here.

We had a crazy positive experience during COVID!! Bill was awesome from the jump and Rob and his crew did an INCREDIBLE job of wrapping and loading my belongings. There's no way I thought it would all fit in the 1 truck but it did! No wall marks to cover up from pick up or drop off, no property damaged, and great positive attitudes throughout. I want to say something negative but I don't have a single bad word to say. Cannot recommend Bold Moving and Storage enough!!!

This was my first time hiring movers. I was able to get a quote prior to the move from Bold Moving and Storage and they were right on point with the price. On the move day, the movers showed up on the scheduled time and were ready to go. They carefully loaded all my stuff and nothing was damaged during the move. I will definitely call them again.

Very smooth and fast move. Service was great from beginning to end. The movers were professional, quick as well as flexible. The loading and unloading process was carried out very carefully. I would definitely use them again and recommend highly to others. Best moving company I have ever used.

This moving team did such a great job on my move. I am very pleased with the full packing service and promptness with picking our move up at such short notice. The truck driver showed up with the movers all in full uniform, ready to move us. Great service at a great price. I am happy to finally have a real mover in my life.
