Quiet, peaceful, trees, grass, picnic tables. I pulled out my bbq, fried up a couple potatoes and bbq a ribeye. Truckers if you use a bbq this is a great spot

Stopped here around 730am on our drive down to SC for a quick restroom break. The first thing we see after parking is overflowing trashcans along the sidewalks. In the women's bathroom some of the stalls had overflowing sanitary waste containers and while in the stall using the toilet I stopped counting after 27 pieces of hair on the floor. I would have taken a picture of the nastiness if I had taken my phone in. The amount of different colored and lengths of hair littered everywhere amongst the other filth on the floor was absolutely disgusting. That said, at least the sinks were decently cleaner than the floors. I question the Welcome that WV provides southbound travelers.

Nice pollinator area as well as walking paths. Vending machines were low on stock and the vending area could use a renovation. Bathrooms were relatively clean and the mature trees provided nice amount of shade in late July along the walking paths. Very strict signage regarding pets.

Great place to stop along the highway. Clean bathrooms and large picnic areas. Plus overall clean facilities! Truly a rare find in highway rest stops.

Update of new photos on 4/15/2022
A very nice , well maintained rest area cum welcome center . Has information center , lot of shades to rest , a canopy stand , picnic benches . Restrooms are clean and maintained well. Will definetly stop here for a quick rest and for any information I am looking for on route

Good place to stop and stretch your legs. Plenty of semi truck parking and overnight is permitted. Vending machines as well as a machine for hot coffee. Restrooms are pretty clean as well as the building. Drive safe!

1 issue. Some fool drilled holes between toilet walls. I would be careful in there after dark

Im a diabetic and wasnin need of a sugar drink of somekind only to find out they no change available and in order to purchase a drink or snack u need to have a credit card . no cash is taken in machines. Thank goodness i was able to make it to the next exit. Luckily but i made it. While my sugar was only 47. I was lucky i did not end up passing out at the rest area. Who would make vending machines to except credit cards only. Wouldn't that be 1 of the top places to to put a card scanner to steal peoples card info. Not a good rest stop to stop at especially when could be a life or death situation. Very disappointed . and definitely wont recommend stopping southbound 81 .
