Bouse Wash Westbound Rest Stop

For a handicapped person it is the worst one I have ever seen. The handicapped parking is a 100ft walk uphill, often in 100+ temps. My mom uses a walker and tripped on the uneven pavement 😡😡😡. I moved my car to the upper parking area (for the semis) and there wasn't any ramp for her, only curbing...even though handicapped signs were everywhere.

You have to be careful cause it's literally in the middle of nowhere. They have signs that say be careful of poisonus engaged and insects. Great place to take pictures.

Clean and well lit w everything stocked

Great stop, nice and clean with real grass for the doggie area. Bathrooms are clean and plentiful. There are also a lot of covered picnic tables for a real nice rest stop meal.

Clean enough to use and not feel disgusting. Didn't smell bad. Vending machines in working order. Wish they had solar powered lights on the walkway for evening lighting...had to use cell phone flashlight because it was so dark away from the main lights.

EASTBOUND stop smelled horribly on October 14, 2020, 8am. Not sure if it always smells bad, but it was unbearable. The facility is huge, ample parking, lots of shady spots, but the smell of raw sewage was too much for us. We moved on as quickly as possible. Oddly enough, the further from the restrooms the worse the smell got, while right at the restroom buildings, there was virtually no smell. I noticed this rest stop had the fewest number of vehicles, compared to other stops we passed, so maybe it’s an ongoing issue, not sure. ~~Please give this review the THUMBS UP if it helped you find out more about this location. Even with a nice view of the mountains. The parking lot is trashed. Attendants sit around and smoke, didn't see any one clean or stock the 2 times been here. We should keep American beautiful anyway, stop trashing it.

Get out of your truck and walk around a little bit. See the desert. Go beyond the fence and up the hillside, it’s easy. I love this place. You will too!

I love the fact that they were all nice and clean and they didn't drink or smell. I just wish that there were more stalls open for the disabled because I had a hard time with my Walker and it frustrating when you have to fight to make your Walker fit through the door and you can't get it through the door so you can sit on the toilet, And it's not fair that there's more regular toilet then there are handicap toilets. And it's very upsetting when you see a normal person come out of a handicap stall and they see you walking in the restroom when they're going in and they were extrait to a handicap stall instead of a regular stall and they don't need their handicap stall they can go into a regular store but yet they choose a handicap stall and make you it's yours in your soiled clothes waiting for them to come out I don't get it I know they don't know that you're in soiled clothes but they really choose to use the handicap stall when they don't need it. The men’s room was clean. The parking lot was exceptionally trashy. There were quite a few covered picnic tables. The vending machines had a good variety of snacks and drinks. A nice area to take a little walk and stretch out.
