I called ahead (Freightliner Cascadia Def system problem) Thursday night the end of the shift. A manager was nice, didn't promise take my truck immediately, but try. It was true. I came 9.30pm, 10.30pm diagnostic started. Next morning before noon problem has been fixed. Replace Inlet nox censor by warranty, remain Def system test only. I got my truck back 4pm.Professional and responsible service! Thank you!!!

Helpful parts staff, good inventory, fair prices

Contacted service with an A/C issue on a Tuesday. They were able to get me in Wednesday at 10 am. That was very satisfying. I already knew the issue was a bad cab side expansion valve. I had the parts ordered since Monday. Parts arrived for work on Wednesday. I had it diagnosed somewhere else. They didn't have the parts available. I am a qualified A/C tech myself. So I knew the diag was good. When the Harrisburg shop spent 8 hours of my day and mid afternoon they let me know it also needed an evaporator because of seized bolts at the expansion valve. That was fine. They had done as best anyone could expect up to that point. The tech stayed into second shift to complete my truck. GREAT. I'll have A/C after cooking for three days. I left. Went to their other building. Hooked my trailer and left for Connecticut. NOT EVEN OUT OF HARRISBURG. A/C quits. Called back. I dont havectime to return now. I will be in byv10 am Friday. I need the truck back by end of day friday if at all possible. Saturday AM latest possible. That was agreed to. I left the truck. Requested they notify me ASAP with faults and an estimate. Friday I call again after some time. It's the compressor. Clutch disengages intermittently. Nearest one is next day from Memphis. OK I need A/C. Was told they will be on it first thing Saturday. Good I need it quickly on Saturday. Mud day. No news. Call in. We haven't started yet. Another customer is ahead of you. Wait I was already in the shop. Parts are there now. Why am I pushed back? One hour before close on Saturday. Tech took out for test. It cools great at road speed. Cooling stops at idle. Well if you would have worked in line. We would know this earlier Saturday. We will get back at it Sunday A/M. 6:45 AM. Doors are barely open. Phone rings. My truck is ready. Strange how Saturday one hour before close. It's has problems. Sunday open it's ready. Who was stalling for time? Not only was my experience very poor to include lies. I have multiple nightmare stories. Including one while I stood there waiting for answers on my first visit. I only took it there. Because how difficult can A/C work be. By my own experience and training on A/C not much. Until you come to Freightliner of Harrisburg. Transtech service department is horrible. The Parts department has typically been amazing to me. Very few very minor issues in parts. If you have a shop that will accept parts you bring or can get parts there. Do that. Mid afternoon I called in. OH we have another customer who is ahead of you. We'll call you when have something. Waited a while. Called again.

Dave and the crew in the parts department are a great group of guys. Knowledgeable, will help you go through schematics to find exactly the part you need! Overnight/Next day freight is a great option to have, too.

Come in at 7am and nobody cares you are there Terrible customer service It’s not the front desk guy it’s management I’m sure the managers blame everyone else.

Service got me in & out quickly on short notice for a headlight connector repair on a Sunday! A pleasure to deal with! Less than 30 minutes from TA or Petro in either direction. Come here instead!

I was driving home on a Monday from a recent trip with my RV and my check engine light came on and was showing a low voltage warning on my screen, I pulled over at a rest area and called local shops to see who can take me in and fix the issue, I was lucky enough to speak with Kim at Freightliner in Harrisburg, she set me up for an appointment on Wednesday morning but said that if they get me in sooner they would, I arrived on Tuesday around noon went inside and they took my information, around 3:00 a technician came over to me with a volt meter and checked the batteries and the alternator and confirmed my suspicions that the alternator was bad, They didn't have one in stock, so they called around and had one shipped over night, at 7:00am I was in the shop and they started working on it, at around 2:00 they were done and I was back on the road, Yes the bill was high, but its a dealer and they were very professional and got me up and running, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop, Rob the GM kept me informed on the progress and made sure I knew exactly what was going on with the work! Original post: Have to give at least one star or comments won't post. Had a U-joint replaced 2 months ago. The joint failed out on the road, because the tech did not grease the new u-joint. Service refuses to warranty anything unless repair work is performed by a Freightliner dealer. Since the truck isn't driveable, they want me to spend $500 to tow it to a dealer. Won't reimburse for an outside repair service. Stay far away from this place. You have been warned!!! Update: This incident was several years ago. I edited the review to correct spelling errors. Which made it seem like a new post. The "Shop Foreman" is the one who refused to help in any way. Several months later, the Service Manager was finally made aware of the situation and refunded the entire bill. The Service Manager made things right.

If you dont want to stay here from a week at a time stay away. Been here since Saturday and everyone time I call its something different. Its sensors waiting on them to arrive, its a short in a wire, we are running diagnostics on it for the 5th time. Very very displeased with Freightliner of Harrisburg PA. I have never in my life posted a review but I absolutely despise being jerked around.

Every time I checked in I got bumped another day. Ended up going to a private shop and the issue was diagnosed and corrected in less than 10 mins. Update: Rob reached out to speak to me regarding my experience. So I’m changing my review from a 1 Star to a 3 Star. Good constructive conversation. Thank you

We always take our truck to freightliner down in Florida as that is where we are from and service there has not leveled up to this locations service at all. Crystal Webb, Rob Jensen, Ken Sweeney made this experience like no other, they took VERY good care of us. They were honest and straightforward, got us in and out so very quickly and we are so happy we brought our baby here to get serviced. They treated us like their own and we are grateful and definitely will return if we get stuck in Pennsylvania again. 100% for customer service. THANK YOU!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Went there to get my vehicle serviced after bringing it to another shop that quoted me extremely high and seemed less than confident in knowing the actual issue. I decided to put Freightliner to the task and they exceeded my expectations with their expertise and prompt service. I love the staff at the freightliner in Harrisburg. Our truck will only go 5mph or 55mph we drove from Dayton, Ohio to this location. Just because of their customer service.
