This place pretty much serves its purpose. I've stayed here multiple times and some of the tv's in the rooms give you a little trouble. Close to some restaurants. Other than that, no bugs, no pests and the owner took money off my bill for not having a room ready. Him and his wife are very nice.

A no-frills motel, convenient if you want to capture both sunset and sunrise at the Middle Creek. Clean and well maintained. The heater may be too powerful for the room, so it immediately becomes too hot when it's on and quickly cools down when it's off. But not much of a problem. If I stay overnight in the area again, I'm very likely to choose Penn Amish again

I've read things about this place. I have to say ... I thought the rooms were a nice size. Both the bed area & bathrooms were very pleasant, clean. Also had TV, small fridge & microwave. I would certainly stay here if needed.

1. The ads and clerk make sure to mention they have wifi. They don't ever mention you can't receive it more than 50 feet from the office, which is across the parking lot from the rooms (bonus negative: cell data connectivity is spotty at best)
2. Neither the mini fridge nor the microwave worked. But the fire alarm low battery chirp worked perfectly.
3. Room decor from 1975. Even had a metal door key, of which they would only provide one for a room with 2 beds.
4. I'm 6'2". The "queen size beds" are mounted against the wall, under the headboard. So the available bed length only goes to my ankles.
5. And it cost more than the Red Roof Inn only three blocks away. I was underwhelmed by the Red Roof last week, decided to try this place. At least Red Roof had solid wifi and gave me two keys.

4 stars on a "relative" scale. It's no Hilton but it comes much more affordable than a Hilton. Yes. The rooms are all (relatively) small, but ours was clean. In fact, it was recently remodeled with new tile floors, walls, John and bath. Plenty of parking. Quiet. Freindly and helpful owners. Would I stay here again? Yes.
